We Need To Appreciate The Hunky Gay Erotic Art Of Harry Bush

I love art, I love it even more when it features hunky men with hot butts, lots of muscle and big dicks! The gay erotic art of Harry Bush caught my attention this morning and I loved it so much I created the new Art Hunks category 🙂

Born in 1925 Bush had his first experiences with other men while serving in the US military. At this time he took up drawing and by the time he’d left his military career he was ready to create a name for himself in the beefcake era of gay erotic publications.

As you can see from these examples of his gay erotic art he was highly skilled, despite being completely self-trained.

Sadly, Bush was a complicated man and it’s believed he deliberately destroyed much of his own work in his later years. Some of it survives to this day, however.

The reason? He was allegedly concerned that he would lose his military pension if his homosexuality was discovered.

I absolutely love his style. It’s extremely indicative of the decades in which he was most prolific. You can see the 1950s and 60s in the way he depicted his characters and the illustrative style he adopted.

This is the kind of gay erotic art I would love to have adorning my walls.

Imagine how much awesome art we would have if he hadn’t been burdened by fears of being outed.
